Tackling an iconic film here!
The cinematography of Pulp fiction is something that I never thought about until I rewatched the film recently and found a lot of the lighting really jumping out at me.
Comparing this to other films that came out at the same time such as True Romance it is certainly not as refined and there are plenty of things that I feel people working on short films/first features should try to recognise and address in their own work.
This is the second instalment looking at Jules and Vincents drive to the apartment, filming in cars always has some challenges involved. Here I feel we see a lot of inconsistencies, it definitely has some active lighting involved but it still doesn't event everything out.
Next up is the walk into the apartment!
