The last of the three-night stint at the Royal Albert Hall, Friday April 26, 2019. This marked the tenth anniversary of his legendary 2009 RAH premiere, when Eric Clapton sat in with him. This was also one of the last times this line-up would share the stage together.
A truly amazing performance from both Joe and the band from the Redemption tour, just before Covid-19 changed the world for the next three years.

The entire concert is absolutely amazing but these are my personal favorites:

Evil Mama 16:05
Self-Inflicted Wounds 30:38
I Get Evil with Bernie Marsden 1:21:17
Tea For One/I Can't Quit You Baby 1:28:39
SWLABR 2:06:10
Mountain Time 2:12:06

How Joe and the band manage to put in all that energy in the encores after having played for nearly two hours... that is simply beyond me.

Line-up:
Joe Bonamassa - vocals, guitars
Mahalia Barnes - backup vocals
Jade MacRae - backup vocals
Anton Fig - drums
Michael Rhodes - bass
Paul Serra - saxophone, backup vocals
Lee Thornburg - trumpet
Reese Wynans - keyboards

Shot in 4k, recorded with a Zoom H1 and Soundman OKM II binaural mics in 96kHz, 24-bit.

Here and there my own footage was shaky or out of focus, so a huge thanks to  andreasjohansson, andrewcowan and just good music who contributed to the project with their footage and those who uploaded videos from the concert to YouTube: missmoke007 (important uploads: Tiger in Your Tank, I Get Evil, the Alvin Lee ES-335 and Kirk Fletcher clips), paul dickson (nice view straight above the band), ana rivier (venue and lights), Gonzo1125 (Sloe Gin, Woke Up Dreaming), nicke lilltroll, truth seeker, and Devonjohnrock, who I unfortunately forgot to mention in the credits but who had uploaded the amateur clip from RAH 2009 used in the introduction).

When filming, I did not want to concentrate on Joe only but show the interaction and mind-blowing prowess and enthusiasm of the whole band as well. This of course meant there was some table-tennis-like shifting of focus from side to side, especially as there was a very tall guy sitting right in front of me in row 1 and I had to dodge his head to be able to zoom in on Reese, Jade and Mahalia on the right of the stage while Joe kept mostly to the left of the stage, as he always does. I hope the electrifying energy in the air is as tangible to you the viewer watching this as it was to me sitting on row 2.

A total of 209,000 frames manually crop and panned for composition, stability, color and lighting. At the end there is an example of how the original footage changed on the editing table. There would have been songs with much more dramatic changes to choose from for the comparison and most would probably have been happy with the footage straight out of the camera, but if you watch closely, you'll see how the small details contribute to the whole.

Unfortunately,  the introduction of the performers has two parts (Jade and Paulie) of an earlier edit that I forgot to replace with finalized, stabilized ones and there are left-over parts in Last Kiss that show the Mercalli V4 logo for a millisecond, which I forgot to replace with newer edits without the logo. Extremely infuriating but it is what it is. Last Kiss had parts where I used the Mercalli V4 stabilization app first and then manually fine-tuned each frame for the desired composition and level of stability.

This is an amateur fan video, not to be monetized, born out of love for his music. For professional Joe Bonamassa videos, you are spoilt for choice at jbonamassa.com. If you are lucky enough to have him visit your town, you know what to do. Worth every cent and more!
