Cameroon is a country in the center and west of Africa with 10 regions and over 250 ethnic groups in different communities both rural and urban. The Cameroonian society is blessed with great women and works of life who contribute to the growth of the society and to the life of people. There is a popular African audit that goes, behind every successful man there is a woman. Cameroon is relatively blessed with amazing support coming in from within, and behind any successful country there are women.
It is with this light that we stablished a list of 10 most influential and impactful Cameroonian women, celebrating women and their contribution to the society. This list is based on activities carried out by this women, the relationship they share with the society, their impact to the society, followership and scope of impact.

Number 10. Noela Lyonga
Born in the SW Region of Cameroon, Noela Lyonga Mwindo is the founder and chief executive officer of the Noela Lyonga Foundation. She was recorgnised with the 11th Point of Lights Awards in the commonwealth by Her Majesty the queen of England and the foreign commonwealth office international lead acknowledgement in London, Manchester and Sheffield. Noela Lyonga through her foundation strives to inspire people through volunteerism to develop themselves and their communities.
Number 09: Melissa Bime
Saving lives by making it easier for patients to get blood bags when needed. This is what Melissa Bime has been fighting for since 2015.
Melissa is a nursing graduate and the founder of INFIUSS, an online blood bank and digital supply chain platform. Melissa founded INFIUSS after her experience working in a hospital and witnessing too many patient deaths as a result of hospitals failing to source compatible blood for life-saving transfusions. With this project INFIUSS, Melissa Bime won the Cartier Women’s Initiative Awards in Singapore in April 26, 2018.
Number 08: Marilyn Douala Bell
Princess Marilyn Douala Manga Bell is a socio-economist and current president of the cultural organisation doual'art based in Douala, Cameroon.
In 1991 , Marilyn Douala Bell and her husband founded the contemporary art center doual'art , which she chairs . The center is located in La Pagode , a former home of the Douala Bell kings . It is an “experimental laboratory of new urban practices in African cities, oriented towards accompanying and supporting artists who are interested, through their research and practices, in urban issues”.
