The 22nd session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court has opened at the United Nations in New York. South Africa's delegation is led by Justice and Correctional Services Minister Ronald Lamola. The gathering runs until the 14th of December.
It comes as calls grow for member states to the Hague-based Court to step up their political, practical and financial support so that the Court can deliver on its global mandate.
