Thanks for tuning into my podcast! I am your host, Diana Hawthorne, and I am obsessed with wool. I do all types of fiber crafts but I spend more time knitting, spinning, and mending than anything else. I also machine knit, sew, crochet, weave, quilt, felt and dye as well so any of the above may come up on my channel.

Find me on Instagram and Ravelry as Delaware Spinster

Wearing:

- My recent FO crochet cardigan

FOs:

- Crochet house coat/Ruana/Cardigan inspired by Sacred Woods pullover pattern by Janine Myska, in Hobbii Twister (several color ways) which is a cotton acrylic yarn that has a long gradient in the standard cake put up. I held this yarn quadrupled for a bulky weight and using a 6 mm hook. I finished this last week and have been wearing it at home, this is really my color scheme this season.

- 5 pairs of socks finally finished! I cranked these in April/early May and meant to graft the toes and finish them back in May. Done and blocked now! Mostly my handdyed yarns, some self striping, more details in my Ravelry project pages.

WIPs:

- Not pictured - still working on my crochet baby blanket and Scotch Broom knit top!

- Not pictured - ongoing dress spin from batts I made - trying to finish the singles still, and I have one skein plied and finishing today.

- Emerging Sweater Spin, started with Polwarth/silk blend from Kim Dyes Yarn in Emerging (MDSW 2023 colorway) and I made mini rolags incorporating that fiber and others that complement it. Half of this was spun last year, I have 4 skeins of 3 ply fingering already but I left half just waiting as I started working on other spins.

- Barbie Land fiber spin from Inglenook Fibers - to extend this I am making rainbow pastel rolags from other stash, and spinning other bits of coordinating wool so I can make a whole sweater spin. I am spinning the fibers with support spindles and will likely use my Daedalus Sparrow too.

- Angora merino spin - angora is undyed, light grey, and I am carding little clouds of that with merino top that I dyed (grey and pastel) then spinning.
