Supreme Court Ruling Gives Trump Dangerous Power to Pardon Those He Directs to Detain his Enemies

The Supreme Court has, in substance, converted American democracy into a monarchy. The court's holding in Trump v. United States enables a president to direct his attorney general to detain the president's political enemies without charges, without evidence, and without due process, and then pardon his attorney general for the crimes he committed at the president's direction. This destruction of the constitution moves American government in the direction of a banana republic.
