This is a documentary originally entitled 'In Hasidic Custody' which tells the story of a Yemenite family who were brought to America by the followers of the Satmar Hasidic dynasty as a part of their "Anti-Zionist" cause. I had changed the name to 'In Satmar ustody' because I do not want to give a 'bad name' to all Chasidut which is by no means represented by the hypocrites within this documentary from the Satmar community.

The Satmars are active in Anti-Zionist activism and often travel to Yemen in hopes of convincing Yemenite Jews about what they consider "the dangers" of moving to Israel and instead ask them to move to the Satmar community in New York City.

The Satmar activists tell the Yemenites that if they were to move to Israel their families and way of life would be destroyed. Once finally in America Yemenite Jews are forced to give up their culture, language, liturgy, and even in most cases their children in exchange for the Satmar way of life and a Satmar upbringing for their family. They are used as propaganda for their cause and employed to collect revenue by asking for donations.

This documentary tells the story of one such family.
