Prof. Shachi Sharma (Assistant Professor at South Asian University) spoke about traditional and new programs introduced this academic year at SAU. Her research area is performance modeling and simulation of computer systems & networks. Her lab at SAU is working on IoT and the application of machine learning to networks. To groom future-ready IT professionals, the university introduced the Dual Degree BTech+MTech programme along with traditional BTech courses in computer science and engineering. Admissions are open to various programmes, including BTech and Dual BTech+MTech.
