جولای سال 1947 سقوط یک بشقاب پرنده در شهر رازول نیومکزیکو توجه همگان را جلب کرد. ماتیلدا نویسنده کتاب مصاحبه با یک فرازمینی به عنوان یک پرستار به همراه تیمی از محققان به آن منطقه اعزام شدند. برای عموم مردم این داستان "غیر قابل باور" خواهد بود. متأسفانه باورها معیار مطمئنی برای واقعیت نیستند. ماتیلدا یادداشت های شخصی اش را که از مصاحبه با ایرل موجود فرازمینی رازول محفوظ نگاه داشته بود قبل از پایان عمرش به لارنس اسپنر میسپرد که پس از ویرایش توسط لارنس بصورت گسترده چاپ و تکثیر میشود. بخش‌های مختلفی از این کتاب انتخاب و ترجمه شده تا منظور ایرل از زندگی پس از مرگ و هدف خلقت زمین برای شما آشکار شود.
