Did you know that many of the former cast members of the original Lost in Space are still around today and that some of them have appeared in the show’s recent reboots? Lost in Space was a beloved science fiction television series that premiered in 1965 and lasted until 1968. Part of the charm of the original series was its awesome cast, which consisted of many seasoned television veterans, as well as a few enthusiastic child stars. Amongst the cast were Guy Williams and June Lockhart, both of whom had previously held long-standing roles on major television series during the 1950s. Prior to Lost in Space, the public knew Guy Williams for his role as the titular lead on the 1957 Disney series Zorro. Meanwhile, the public knew June Lockhart as the woman who played Timmy’s mom on the series Lassie.
