I had recorded this song back in 2020 which was probably my very first pashto song uploaded on youtube (only audio). Although it was recorded very roughly but still got a very positive response from the audience.
Recently I’ve been receiving messages from you people on Instagram to provide the correct translation of this song for you. So here I am with a lyrics video with english translation and some more information (given below), I hope you people will like it.

✨About the song
As described in the end of this video, the origin of this song is decades old. This is a folk song which was originally recorded by the iconic pashto artist miss “Gulnar Begum” and later many other renowned pashto singers sang the same song in different styles and with different lyrics.
But When I was a little kid i had heard this song in the voice of “Zeek Afridi” where i had zero knowledge about music and i had no idea that one day i’ll be singing this song and will be receiving compliments from people. So the lyrics i’ve sung in this song are the ones which were sung by “Zeek Afridi”.

✨Folk story linked with the song
It is believed that decades back there were two lovers sitting besides the kurrama river (د کورمې سیند) and were talking about their life, suddenly it started raining and slowly and gradually the river started to flood and the beloved was slipped into the deep water. The lover tried to rescue her but the beloved had alread known that she can’t be saved so she told her lover that don’t try to save me just hold my hand till we die together. And hence both of them were drowned in the deep kurrama river.

So after that in their memory these lines were uttered “jaware kurmey ta naseeb rawarhay yama” ~ (fate has brought me to the deep kurrama river) “janana las raka che dwanra sara zu na” ~(darling give me your hand so that we drown and go along together in this river).
