►Today Khoai will lead you to visit Dong Van market, one of the most famous trading market in northern Vietnam.
►Dong Van Market is also like to other trading market in towns of Ha Giang which will be held every Sunday morning. Commune markets will usually open earlier on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. There are also “Cho Lui” (back markets), so called “Cho Lui” because people here will calculate the day to open market base on the lunar, each day of a month is for a zodiac and they choose 2 day form 12 of zodiac, so every six days the market open once time again, If this week this Saturday, the next week will be Friday and then back. Besides, there are also “Cho Tinh” - love markets, cattle markets, markets for old lovers etc. Thanks to the ethnic diversity, the market of highlanders is more special than all the rural markets in the plain. The house has a little bit of corn, some sweet potatoes, some vegetables, a banana bunch, chili, chicken, pig, dog etc. In general if there is something to sell they will bring to trading market. Who come soon, they can choose a better selling place, no one scrambled or busted each other, from each little bit gathered together become a colorful market with busy sound of buying and selling.

There are husbands, wives, children, highlanders consider the market is not only a place to exchange good but also is an opportunity for entertainment, meeting for the whole family.
