الترقيد احد طرق الاكثار الخضري
الترقيد احد طرق الاكثار الخضري التي يتم فيها تغطية فرع او جزء من الفرع بالتربة على ان يظل متصلا بالنبات الام لغرض تكوين الجذور علية . حيث يستمر الفرع المرقد بالحصول على الماء والمواد الغذائية من النبات الام يفصل الفرع المرقد بعد تكوين الجذور علية مكونا بذلك نباتا جديدا . تختلف المدة التي يفصل بعدها الفرع من النبات الام حسب نوع النبات . تتميز معظم طرق الترقيد بكونها بسيطة الأجزاء نسبيا ويمكن اجراءها في البساتين اوالمشاتل كما لاتتطلب هذه العملية خدمة كبيرة او ظروف خاصة كالتي يتطلبها الاكثار بالطرق الأخرى ولايحتاج الترقيد الى معدات خاصة ومهارة كبيرة .
*مزايا الترقيد
1-ضمان نجاح عملية الترقيد حيث ان الفرع يبقى متصلا بالنبات الام ويستمد غذاءه منها لذلك ليس هناك اي احتمال للجفاف وموت الافرع وغالبا ما تستعمل هذه الطريقة عند الرغبة في اكثار اعداد قليلة من النباتات خاصة النباتات النادرة التي ينجح اكثارها بواسطة الترقيد .
2-اكثار بعض الانواع النباتية والسلالات الخضرية التي لا يمكن اكثارها بسهولة بواسطة العقل . كما هو الحال في اكثار بعض سلالات اصول التفاح والكمثرى واشجار الفاكهة بالترقيد الخندقي او الترقيد التلي . واكثار اشجار المانكو بالترقيد الهوائي .كما يستعمل الترقيد البسيط لاكثار البندق ويستعمل الترقيد المركب لاكثار بعض انواع العنب مثل عنب المسكادين .
3-اكثار النباتات كبيرة الحجم بوقت قصير نسبيا. حيث يستعمل الترقيد الهوائي لاكثار نباتات المطاط والكروتون الكبيرة الحجم كما يستعمل الترقيد البسيط لاكثار

2- Propagating some plant species and vegetative strains that cannot be easily propagated by cuttings. As is the case in the breeding of some strains of the origins of apples, pears, and fruit trees, with trench or heliotrope. And the multiplication of mango trees by air thinning. It is also used as a simple flowering for the multiplication of hazelnuts and is used as a compound flowering for the propagation of some types of grapes, such as the Muskadeen grape.
3- Reproduction of large plants with relatively short time. It uses air conditioning to multiply large rubber and croton plants, and it uses simple airing to multiply
