Home prices have risen 8
Home prices have risen 8 months in a row nationally and will continue to rise in 2024 as interest rates have started falling from peak mortgage rates. Case Schiller, Corelogic and FHFA all published 18 months of data showing home prices are not only increasing but accelerating and likely to go even higher in 2024.
Las Vegas is one of the top 3 markets for month over month home price appreciation with Phoenix Miami Chicago and San Francisco all having home prices continue to increase. Since the beginning of 2023 home prices are up over 6% and beating 2015-2019 historical appreciation percentages.
With limited inventory and mortgage rates falling it is likely that the forecast for home prices in 2024 will be much higher than historical increases in most of the housing markets in the US including Las Vegas.
Home prices nationally are already higher than the "peak" in June of 2022 making September 2023 the highest home prices ever recorded.
