I will try and dig out the version I recorded with a sax lead break at the start of the song which I think is better.... For your information when Old Blue Moses (OBM) formed around the mid to end of 2000 by Martin Hayles, Ron Hall and Mick Brennan (I joined within a few weeks, brought in by Mick a fellow land surveyor) we struggled to get gigs in pubs and other venues. This was mainly due to comments such as 'What songs do you play' and 'What do you sound like’ ….. The only way to convince them all was by making a CD to market us and promote the band. This was created in 2003 inside one Saturday with the Sunday overdubbing the vocals, lead guitar, my rhythm and lead on some tracks plus some other bits. The mix was created within the next week. Some of us in the band wanted the source data to enable us to tweak as and when necessary and remix. Jim certainly wanted to redo some drums and wish he had known this in advance but before we knew it we were given the completed CD. As it was a demo we therefore ‘lived’ with the results. Obviously more time, effort, engineering, mixing would have produced different results but overall, I think it is very acceptable. However I will did out the version that has Keith doing a lead break with the sax at the start which i think is superior.... There are, to date half a dozen or so tracks posted as videos with background photographs of the band including places I have visited recently. These are part of the 10 recorded tracks which were on the original CD and on the OBM web pages from 2002 to 2007. This stopped when the provider ‘Bandzoogle’ became unserviceable due to losing content. These were originally as MP3’s but I have converted to WAV to add to the videos. You can get software to extract the audio should you wish otherwise I can send out the MP3. I will add the other tracks at a later date.
