HOW TO KNIT & KNITTING FOR BEGINNERS - How to cast on, knit stitch and purl
Hi there and welcome to this knitting for beginners tutorial! In this video I’ll share some tips on how to know what yarn to choose and the basics of knitting: how to cast on, knit stitch and purl.
Knitting is such a good hobby and it’s been a passion of mine ever since I learned how to knit as a child by my Grandmother. It’s such a satisfying experience to make something by hand, and it’s the best thing to sit and knit in the evenings and calm down after a hectic day, yes being a Grandma has never been more cool! :D
Before you begin, I want to just say “patience”. It can take a while before you get the hang of it and part of being a knitter is definitely to sometimes end up with unfinished projects or knits that didn’t come out as you hoped- that’s all part of it :)
But with some practice and patience, you’ll be a masterful knitter and no time and the sky is the limit for your creativity and what you can knit.
