.AVI is a container format supported by Premiere Pro, however, the video codec can still be unsupported. This is a common problem, and I'll show you how to easily fix this problem.
Before getting to the main solutions I share a couple easier ones just in case you don't have to rewrap or transcode the file as this is a bit more work.
