Michael Jackson performing Billie Jean in Kaohsiung (love that name!) on October 20th, 1996 at the Chungcheng/Zhongzheng Stadium. I really like how this stadium looks, as it’s really low and Michael was basically able to see the taller buildings behind the stadium. I imagine people living in those buildings were watching Michael perform from their apartment, kinda like the amateur recording of Zaragoza ‘96.
THOUGHTS:
I actually really, really like this performance. Michael seems very calm and a bit slower than usual, kinda like the first night in Seoul ‘96 (October 11th) but just better. My favorite thing about this performance, are his adlibs. The “breaking my heart, baby” and “you’re nothing but a” sounds so fkn good.
WHAT I DID:
I somewhat fixed the extreme bass boost that was previously present, and overall enhanced the audio for clearer and better sound. Because of that I found out the instrumentation is basically the same as the Seoul shows, the drums are identical.
