In this video I'll be checking out the Gretsch G5222 in Aged Natural. This guitar is a visual tip of the hat to AC/DC rhythm master, Malcolm Young. This guitar was loaned to me when I created my Malcolm Young Guitar Tone video in conjunction with J Rockett Audio, but it seemed rude to not give it a full length video of its own because it's a killer guitar!
The G5222 is a double cut Gretsch from their more affordable Electromatic range, but don't let the price tag put you off. This guitar offers some serious bang for buck and it's loaded with classic Gretsch tones that can take you from country twang to classic rock and beyond!
In the video I am plugged into the Blackstar Studio 10 6L6 which is running via the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X. The reverb in the video comes from the Surfy Industries Surfybear Classic and the drive you hear comes from the J Rockett Audio 45 Caliber.
