Your Story: The Running Uasin Gishu Grandma

As the world counts down to the London Olympics, the excitement of the event, which kicks off on the 27th of July, is being felt right here in  Kenya the home of  world renown athletes. On your story we highlight the story of an athlete who will not take part in the Olympics because she is in "her own league" a 65 year-old grandmother who says she runs to keep fit. Here is the story of Magdalena Cherotich Birech as suggested by Dan Odhiambo who saw Cherotich participating in one of the county races at Chepkoilel campus in Eldoret town, last year.
