Note 1: When this was published on July 1st, 2017 - All of these RX 580 cards were sold out almost everywhere due to the cryptocurrency mining demand - Consider the 2 below options if you cannot find a RX 580 for under $300.  The 1050 TI is a slower, budget option and the GTX 1080 TI is a much faster premium option.

Another option is to buy a pre-built PC with a RX 480 or RX 580 already installed.  Here are some choices for that if you're looking to build and put off by the price of the cards:
