We made an old west town square stage for events like dancing, music, and theater. The stage goes with the old western buildings and props we built.

We are building an entire area themed like the old wild west for a kids gold panning attraction. In this video you will see how we built this small boot stomping western stage or raised deck for the old western abandoned mining town. Most old abandoned ghost towns and wild west town had a hoedown stage or raised deck that sits in the center of town. Watch clips from the western hoedown stage build followed by a short picture slideshow. We share some of the materials used and needed to build and brace the above ground platform. we dug several holes for posts and decorated the stage with rope and a whisky barrel. We wanted to design a performing area that looked like it was straight out of town square from the old west also used for trying dangerous wanted criminals as well as mayor speeches. We hope you enjoy this fun video as we construct another portion of the old abandoned western mining town. Some of our skeleton friends from our Halloween home haunt got so excited they thought they would have a hoedown the day we finished and teach us some of their moves. HeeHaw!
