Hand - Base knuckle of index finger and heel pad...draw a straight line between the two points.

Racket - racket should be on edge when counting...when deciding the grip for your right hand count to the right...when deciding the grip for your left hand count to the left.

Below are the ideal grips I’d recommend you use for each stroke. Remember, when counting for your right hand count to the right. When counting for your left hand count to the left. And always start at the top. 😊

Serve - continental grip/bevel 2

Forehand - eastern forehand/bevel 3 or semi western grip/bevel 4 (I don’t recommend recreational players use full western/bevel 5...but if you like it then by all means use it)

One handed backhand - eastern backhand/bevel 1

Two handed backhand - bottom hand continental/bevel 2 and top hand bevel 3 or bevel 4 (your choice based on comfort)

Forehand volley - base knuckle on eastern forehand/bevel 3...heel pad between continental and eastern forehand/bevel 2.5

One handed backhand volley - base knuckle and heel pad between eastern backhand and continental/bevel 1.5

(yes...I recommend changing grips for recreational players...there’s plenty of time 95% of the time and if you don’t have time to change then don’t...simple) 😊

Two handed backhand volley - bottom hand continental/bevel 2 and top hand eastern forehand/bevel 3

Overhead - continental/bevel 2
