See pilot who suffered medical episode, hero passenger reunite

In May of 2023, Darren Harrison, a Florida man with no flying experience, managed to land a plane after his pilot, Ken Allen, experienced a midflight medical emergency. The two reunite live on TODAY and share a heartfelt hug. Dr. Nishant Patel, Allen’s cardiac surgeon, describes how Allen’s condition, an aortic dissection often occurs without any warning.
