Camels and their milk are an essential part of Somali culture. There is such a love and admiration for these beasts, due to their superiority in sustaining harsh conditions, providing meat, and of course their white liquid gold- Milk.
Their milk alone has sustained nomadic Somalis in times of extreme drought, this milk is full of numerous health benefits with high levels of nutrients and bioactive components.
Come on an adventure with my family to a Camel milking farm outside of Hargeisa in Somaliland. You will be in awe of the beauty of this animal and entertained as my family tastes camel milk for the first time straight for the camel.
