Do you only have a beard trimmer but you want to still fade your own hair? No problem. Just watch this video and learn how to cut your own hair!!

You are going to need a trimmer, 6mm guard, 3mm, guard, and 1.5 mm, and a shear scissors.
The first step is to create a initial guideline without any comb guard attached. Shave off any excessive hair after creating the initial guideline
Then take out your 3mm guard and go up above the previous guideline. Go back and forth so that all the area has the same spacing across the head for better fade result at the end. The next step is to go up once again but using 6mm comb guard. Just like the previous step, stay consistent in terms of spacing for cleaner haircut.  After this part, we will start blending the lines we've created. We will start with the bottom line. Take off your guard and just trimmer alone, flick out that bottom line like this. It's okay if the line is not erased completely because we will do that in the next step.
So get your 1.5mm guard and attack the dark spots or line that you couldn't erase in the previous step. But keep in mind that don't go past the second guideline.  After you are done with this part, take out your 3mm guard once again and start blending the second guideline. In this step use corner of trimmer blade so you won't leave a hard line as you work on this step.  Lastly, use your shear scissors to blend the bulky side completely. My tip is to go little by little and adjust how much you are cutting so you won't mess up your fade.
