This Core Concept video focuses on Martin Heidegger's lecture "What Is Metaphysics?" and examines his discussion about the relationship between what he terms "the nothing" and the operation or judgement of negation, including the "not".  In Heidegger's view, the priority that the intellect and logic give to negation, deriving nothing from that, is mistaken and needs to be reversed
