In 1974, the BBC brought to radio A Study in Scarlet a story from
Sir Arthur Conan Doyal's Sherlock Holmes canon. The part of the
great detective was played by Robert Powell with Dinsdale Landen playing
the role of Dr. Watson. Produced and adapted by Micheal Hardwick
No other radio adaptations with this duo ever happened.
In 1993 Robert Powell played Sherlock Holmes in the musical play Sherlock Holmes: The Musical with Roy Barraclough as Dr. Watson. 25 years later, in 2018, he played Sherlock Holmes again in the play Sherlock Holmes: The Final Curtain with Timothy Kightley as Dr. Watson.
