Har’indi nshuti nka We se - Is there a friend like him?
Yakund’abayihinyuye ? - Who can love those that despised him?

Baramushingije,—Bashash’imyambaro - They praised him, laid down their garments
Ngo, Hozana; hahirw’Umwami Krisito! - singing Hosana; blessed is the Lord Christ.

Amfira ku Musaraba - He died for me on the cross
Ngo nanjy’angeze mw ijuru. - that I may go to heaven

Iby’urukundo rwe n’uko yababajwe - about his love and persecution
Yanyemeye nk’inshuti ye - He accepted me as his friend,
