HP Serviceguard for Linux

You might recognize the Serviceguard name as a mission-critical failover solution for HP-UX. As part of Project Odyssey, HP is bringing Serviceguard to Linux x86 environments to provide fast failover and recovery for clusters of all sizes, while maintaining the data integrity and performance required for business critical applications. Serviceguard offers disaster protection from major site outages, regardless of the distance between locations while also reducing downtime to zero during maintenance and upgrades. I spoke with Aravindan Gopalakrishnan of HP about how Serviceguard is bringing the same level of failover performance to x86 that large scale operations have come to expect from Unix.
