This video provides information on how to remove mold (mould) from tile – grout- on shower walls.   Also provided is some tips that will help to slow and eliminate the growth of mold in showers by applying grout sealer to make the grout more water resistant.

Removing mold from shower with peroxide:
Place a small amount of peroxide on a small brush;
Begin by using the brush with the peroxide to scrub the grout line with the molds;

Continue to scrub the area and apply more peroxide as needed.
When completed, wash the walls with water;

Dry the shower wall – allow the grout to dry; and
Add a grout sealer to make the grout water resistant.
Tips to prevent mold growth

Apply grout sealer annually. This provides a water resistant barrier to stop mold growth and Prevents water from seeping through the grout and getting behind the tiles.

Run the bath fan while taking a shower or bath. Also run the bath exhaust fan for 15 – 20 minutes after each shower to remove any excess moisture from the bath area.  This helps to eliminate mold growth.

After each shower wipe the shower walls down or use a squeegee to remove water from shower tiles.  These tips will slow or eliminate the potential for mold growth in the bathroom areas.

Note, using Chlorine Bleach is not recommended for cleaning molds. It does not kill mold at the roots on porous materials. Release harmful vapors. Other harsh chemicals produce harmful fumes that can cause headaches, burning eyes, and cause respiratory issues
