Let’s talk about my recent weight loss… not the first time I’ve lost and gained (and lost) weight on this channel – but the first time I’ve got the help of a drug to do it. Here’s my experience so far after 4 months taking semaglutide (the compounded version of drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy).

Compounded semaglutide is not without its risks. It is not FDA approved, and in fact, the FDA has warned about shady pharmacies taking shortcuts in production. "Patients should be aware that some products sold as 'semaglutide' may not contain the same active ingredient as FDA-approved semaglutide products and may be the salt formulations. Products containing these salts, such as semaglutide sodium and semaglutide acetate, have not been shown to be safe and effective."
