The BMW X6 created the Sports Activity Coupe segment and continues to demonstrate a strong sporting character and a strong visual presence in its third generation. The long, sloping roofline and sharp contour lines create a silhouette that stretches dynamically.
The BMW X6 M60i xDrive is powered by the newly developed TwinPower Turbo V8 engine. The 4.4-liter power unit can trace its genes back to motorsport engines and enjoys the thermodynamic benefits of a cross-row exhaust manifold, row-symmetrical turbochargers and external engine oil cooling. In addition, a strengthened crankshaft drive, a further improved turbocharger with relief valve, a new oil pump and a weight-minimized oil pan all play a role in increasing the efficiency of the engine. The engine is paired with 48V mild hybrid technology to provide superior response and power delivery under acceleration.
The S68 engine produces 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of peak torque. In preliminary testing, the new X6 M60i accelerates the xDrive from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.

The new S68 4.4-liter V8 engine in the 2024 BMW X6 M Competition stands out with its sharper response and increased efficiency compared to the previous model. Alongside a cross-row exhaust manifold, the engine now features a reinforced crankshaft drive, a further improved turbocharger.
Willingness to rev and uninterrupted power delivery define the new V8 engine. It produces 553 lb-ft of peak torque between 1,800 and 5,800 rpm and produces a maximum output of 617 hp at 6,000 rpm.
