A pricing approach in which the manufacturer sets a high introductory price to attract a initial group of buyers in the market, and then gradually reduces the price to attract the next and subsequent layers of the market.
How it works ?
When producer introduce new product to the market he charges higher price to attract initial customers. ( low demand but higher price , Revenue maximized )
Over the period of time, due to arrival of the competitors (copycat) , producer reduce the price to increase demand. It will maximize the revenue.
