Introduction To The Upanishads - Kathopanishad

This is the first of Swamiji's online classes on Upanishads, which is the foundation for Vedanta. After introducing the Upanishads in general, he goes onto give a background to  Kathopanishad. In this text, the initial part of is taught in a story form followed by a discussion between the student and teacher.

The student's name is Nachiketa, a young boy of about 8-10 years old. The Guru or the teacher of Self-knowledge is Yama, the Lord of Death. This text is a teaching on what lasts beyond human death and how can one understand the true reality of oneself.
