Distribution shapes
In this video we are going to cover the main different shapes that frequency distribution histogram graphs can have and important terms to understand when looking at distribution shapes.

When looking at the graph of a frequency distribution, the shape of the graph reveals a lot about the data and is important in analyzing the data.
The first distribution shape is the bell shaped distribution, which has a single peak and tapers off at both ends.  It can be almost symmetric if a line was drawn through the middle.

A uniform distribution is flat across the top and it basically looks like a rectangle.

The next type of distribution shape is a skewed shape, which can be right skewed, where the data values taper off to the right or left skewed, where the values taper off to the left, and we will go over skewness in detail in a later video.

And a distribution can have what is called a bimodal form, where it has 2 peaks that are the same height.
