Step into the township of Echuca along the Muray River. A township filled with hot rods, classics and customs as we take you through the highlights of the Rich River Rod Run 2024 held in Echuca Moama! This biennial event, celebrating its thirty-third year, brought together car enthusiasts from across Australia for a weekend of excitement.
Hosted by the Rich River Rod & Custom Club, this event offered a vibrant Show n Shine on Sunday, featuring over 600 meticulously maintained vehicles. Held at Moama's Jack Eddy Oval, the festivities kicked off with gates opening to the public at 9:30 AM. From the dazzling display of classic cars to live band performances and entertainment for kids, there was something for everyone.
But the excitement didn't stop there! The highlight of the weekend was the live performance by The Detonators at Henry's Bridge Hotel Echuca. This hardworking quartet, with over 3000 gigs under their belt, treated the audience to a night of electrifying music blending blues, rockabilly, and early rock 'n roll.
On Sunday, The Detonators returned to the stage at Jack Eddy Oval, adding to the ambiance of the Show n Shine with their infectious tunes. With over 400 entries and 600 cars on display, the event showcased the passion and dedication of car enthusiasts.
From the roaring engines to the lively atmosphere in town, the Rich River Rod Run 2024 was a testament to the enduring appeal of classic cars and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. A huge thank you to the volunteers, businesses, and organizers for making this event a roaring success, and we eagerly await the next installment of this iconic event!
