Main Bhi Bharat is the
Main Bhi Bharat is the first ever TV series in India on tribes. This programme deals with the issues related to the culture, identity, lifestyle and livelihood of the tribals.
In this episode of Main Bhi Bharat we talk about Bhil Tribe in Gujarat.
There is tribal population in at least 14 districts of Gujarat and Bhil is the largest tribe of the state.
It constitutes about 45 % of total tribal population of Gujarat. We traveled to Mahi Sagar, Aravali, Dahod and Sabarkantha district to meet this tribe. It was the occasion of International indigenous people's day when we reached Mahi Sagar district.
In this episode we have also discussed if history has denied Bhil tribe their due place as far as freedom movement of India is concerned. We visited Mangarh Hill on Gujarat Rajasthan border where 1500 bhils were killed by British army.
