Ingredients:
Long beans / Achinga payar – 600g
Mustards seeds - ¾ tbsp
Turmeric powder - ½ tbsp
Red chilly powder
Crushed red chilly / Chilly flakes - 2 tbsp
Shallots / Pearl onions – 5 big (Crushed)
Garlic – 6 fat cloves (Crushed)
Salt
Coconut oil

Steps:
Cover and cook long beans adding ½ glass water and salt.
Stir once it boils. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
Once it turns soft, switch off.

Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
Add crushed red chilly, garlic, shallots and curry leaves.
Lower the flame and add turmeric powder. Sauté till the raw smell goes away.
Add red chilly powder and sauté till the raw smell goes away.
Add cooked beans and increase the flame.
Mix well.
Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Serve the mezhukupuratti with rice.
