6.6L Duramax Diesel Cold Start (LB7) - In this video, We perform a Cold Start of our 6.6L Duramax Turbo Diesel (LB7) in our C5500 Chevrolet flat bed truck. The air temp was in the mid 30's Fahrenheit and the truck had been sitting for a few days. Watch as we crank up the Duramax Diesel and hear the engine rev and the turbo whine. This 6.6L Duramax Diesel is the LB7 version from 2003. Engine Output is 300hp and 520 foot lbs. of torque. This diesel engine is a true workhorse and has plenty of power and torque for use in medium duty trucks used in the construction industry.
