Learn how to create a sleek blow-dry with Russell Mayes. During this tutorial, you'll learn about our "Be a Hero Today" initiative and Grace's story. "Be A Hero Today" is about celebrating our frontline workers and supporting heroes who make a difference in their communities. Grace is a Respiratory Therapist in the COVID unit and ICU in Garden Grove, CA., treating patients day in and day out. Now, more than ever, we have a responsibility to help and give back to those in need. As a brand with a platform, we want to encourage the message that any act of kindness, large or small, can make a difference in someone's life. This campaign is unique for Kenra Professional because it is the first time we are featuring everyday women on our in-store visuals, rather than professional models. We want to honor these frontline medical workers by highlighting them as heroes and giving them the recognition they deserve.

Kenra Professional asked our stylist partners to nominate heroes within their communities, and both Grace and Tyla were submitted by their stylists as strong women, really dedicated to helping those in need. Since both of our featured heroes are nurses, we wanted to donate to a foundation that supports their profession, and the American Nurses Foundation provides nurses with educational, career development, and certification resources.
