For clinicians who want to start manufacturing CAR T cells, setting up a cell manufacturing process and quality control system that can be transferred to GMP-compliant standards is often very challenging.
Miltenyi Biotec has developed the Cell Manufacturing Enabling Package (CMEP) with the goal of enabling clinicians to save the lengthy time usually required for process development, allowing them to proceed to validation as soon as possible. The package is built around a cell manufacturing protocol on the CliniMACS Prodigy® Platform, developed and tested through years of experience in our own cell manufacturing facility, and a matching protocol for flow-based quality control of CAR T cells using the MACSQuant® Analyzer. Transfer of the protocols is enabled by an extensive training program consisting of theoretical background and detailed hands-on operator training at the manufacturing site.
