The Philippine Air Force (PAF)
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has received an additional three C295 medium transport aircraft from Airbus Defense and Space.
The first aircraft started flights for delivery from Spain last week.
Delivery of the C295W by Airbus DS to the Philippines was supposed to take place in December 2021, but was delayed due to global health concerns.
Manila's C295W was first seen at a Spanish factory in September 2021.
Prior to this, The Philippine Air Force (PAF) already had four C295M aircraft. Consists of three public transport versions and one VIP transport. All aircraft will be operated by the 220th Airlift Wing.
At The Philippine Air Force (PAF) C295 will play a role in assisting the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft which has been in use since the 1970s.
Besides having C295s, Manila is also rumored to be buying five C-130J-30s to modernize and add to its fleet of transport aircraft.
