Japan Air Self-Defense Force F-35A Visit

Watch 🎥 | The Japan Air Self-Defense Force has made history this week, with its first international deployment by its F-35A Lightning IIs to RAAF Base Tindal, conducted under the recently implemented Reciprocal Access Agreement between Japan and Australia.

This activity is a significant milestone in the relationship between our two countries, and is being accomplished under the recently implemented Reciprocal Access Agreement.

Making the 12,800-kilometre roundtrip to RAAF Base Tindal provided valuable experience in deploying long distances, and allowed the Japan Air Self-Defense Force to engage counterparts at RAAF No. 75 Squadron.

Australia is committed to a strong bilateral special strategic partnership with Japan, and contribute with our partners to the collective security of the Indo-Pacific. ‪@JASDFchannel‬
