Spoon Man by Soungarden (originally featuring drummer Matt Cameron) - Drum Cover by Drums Out Front

By now its no secret that I was raised on 90s rock (the best era ever in music if you ask me), so of course Soundgarden was always one of my favorite bands. Featuring Chris Cornell's ripping vocals, Kim Thayil's ferocious and inventive guitar phrasing and drummer Matt Cameron's odd times and crushing grooves, Soundgarden was the sound of new alternative metal of the day and deserved its success. Some of their music is nearly impossible for me to play but I figured this one out. Turns out this 1994 odd time gem (main groove is in 7/4) from Superunknown not only put Soundgarden on the map as their biggest hit to date, but it was inspired by a real-life street performer.
