This video demonstrates how to jack up and secure a uni-body car with pinch welds. Most cars made within the past decade have pinch welds.
Unlike older cars, the modern car body is made up of different pieces of sheet metal welded together at one point. This point is called the pinch weld. On older cars, you could jack up the car at almost any solid point. With modern cars, you have to jack up the vehicle at a certain location, which is usually the pinch weld.
You should read the manual for the correct jack points and jack stand points on your vehicle.
This video is just a demonstration of how I jack up and secure my 2016 Kia Forte. Although you should build off of this information, this is not a guaranteed correct way of jacking and securing every vehicle.
