Today we stumbled onto something we can't believe more people aren't talking about...you can get a FREE shop or apartment on planet Arkadia!
You can now collect 8 Coins Gold and 8 Coins Silver. Simply hunt mobs unique to the 8 Coins land area and loot these new gold and silver coins as you hunt. You can also loot these coins while mining for treasure if you get a SOOTO (something out of the ordinary) mining find.
Once you have 888 of one type of coin you can trade it in! 888 of the new 8 Coins Gold can be traded for a shop. 888 of the new 8 Coins Silver can be traded for an apartment.
There are only 16 shops and only 32 apartments available and they are issued on a first come, first served basis so you will want to act fast before they are all gone!
Considering the hefty price tags these properties can demand this is an incredible opportunity and I was shocked that the Planet Arkadia Development Team hasn't done more to promote this!
I consider it to be a glaring oversight but you will need to actually message the Arkadia Estate Manager when you are ready to trade in your coins. This seems like a poor way to handle the actual estate deeds since there are a limited number of deeds available. It would have been much wiser to simply put the deeds into an NPC which would have allowed for automated redemption instead of potentially opening the door to disputes over the last of each estate types. We can hope that this will simply not be an issue.
Since the 8 Coins Land Area has recently been made a tax free area this is an incredible opportunity for anyone interested in owning a shop or apartment on Planet Arkadia.
These new gold and silver coins are tradeable peer to peer, can be sold on auction and ARE lootable in PVP Lootable areas including PVP Lootable Space. Since the shops and apartments are highly valuable virtual real estate the demand for these coins is very high.
With a high demand and low supply it's not surprise that the mark up on these coins is very high as well. This may provide an opportunity for those players who would rather sell the coins and pocket the profits instead of trying to save enough to trade for an estate.
This is another step in the right direction by the Planet Arkadia Development Team although we still can't believe they didn't make a bigger announcement given the price tags these estate will carry.
