How to touch up a skim coat before sanding skim coated walls.
In this video I’m going to show you how to touch up a skim coat before sanding skim coated walls. I’ll also show you how to do the third coat of joint compound on the tape joints and corner bead. In the first videos of this how to skim coat drywall video series I showed you tips and tricks for applying to skim coat on new drywall because of all the natural light coming in the window possibly showing the different absorption rates between the drywall paper and the joint compound. It is also a good idea to skimcoat new drywall if it’s going to be painted with a semi gloss or gloss paint and the wall has no texture.
