How to Create Your Own Rug Runner

Time for a quick and easy DIY project. I really need a carpet runner in my family room to run the entire length of the room so my pets won’t slip and slide on the wood floors. Buying a runner long enough for the area would cost several hundred dollars, even for a basic and cheap carpet material. Instead, I'm going to create a custom runner using a good sized piece of carpet scrap, carpet tape, and Instabind carpet binding.
