Six months ago I shaved
Six months ago I shaved off all my beard, left only my mustache and started this project by growing my beard from scratch.
I wanted to know how long my beard takes to grow and take the opportunity to understand the necessary care at each stage.
Because after all, it's not just about letting it grow. You have to take care of your beard! And care varies from time to time.

[00:33] 15 days
This is a phase that a beard can be uncomfortable and itchy.
That's why it's important to start drawing the neckline at this time. Using a Beard Balm is also nice to hydrate the skin and avoid discomfort.
Shaving products I used in this step:
- Face scrub - twice a week
- Shampoo - every day during the bath
- Beard Balm - every day after washing

Here the hairs were already big enough to feel the benefits of a Beard Conditioner after Shampoo.
And it was also necessary because with a bigger beard that's when I started to feel the coarsest hair.
The conditioner seals the scales that surround the hair, giving it a softer feeling and helping to align the hair.
That's when I also decided to lightly trim my mustache.

I trimmed my beard for the first time when I was 2 months old. It was when she was already getting out of shape and gaining a lot of volume on the sides.

At three months I had the impression that the beard was taking a long time to grow. It looked like the speed was much slower than in the first few weeks.
But I have a theory for this: as time goes by, we have less basis for comparison. The hair also tends to grow more curled which helps it look like it's not growing as fast.

What will inevitably happen to any bearded man who shaves alone happened here: I made a mistake when trimming and I cut a little more than I should have.
And the message is this: relax. It grows again. Suddenly, you even decide to follow a different path to enjoy the beard a little smaller and end up enjoying it.

And today I'm here with 6 months finishing this project already with a lumberjack beard.
Could you let it grow more? Could. But from now on, care will not change so much: shampoo and conditioner in the bath. Balm and oil to moisturize.
Possibly a beard styler to control the volume.
Trim every now and then to keep the shape… And so on.
And speaking of trimming, that's exactly what I'm going to do now, once I'm done shooting this video.
